About Me

My photo
I enjoy being a student and being prepared to be put out into the real world with working with students in my own classroom. I would like to teach third grade and make a difference in a students life. I want to teach my students on how to be successful and to be able to be well rounded little people.

I learn best by visualizing in my mind. According to MI I am a visual learner and a Naturalist learner and I can totally agree on the visual learner. I learn with colors, graphs, pictures and when I visually see it on the board. I notice I learn when I do my work at the last minute (not literally) but like one or two days before because if I start days ahead I start the assignment and continue later and then forget the important information. Rather if I start one or two days before I know the due date is getting closer and I seem to get my thoughts going and work harder at it. It sounds weird to work like this but I tend to procrastinate when I have a lot of time with it and loose my train of thought. For taking test I take notes in class but then when I go over them I'm totally confused on what I wrote and so then I rewrite sub titles and elaborate and reread and reread for my test studying techniques. I enjoy working in groups because it helps me learn information better. It helps when you have more than one brain, brain storming and all the thoughts are discussed and usually more than one gives feed back. Like the saying goes "Two Brains Are Better Than One". Sometimes when I am involved in group work I might not say much but I am imaging what the others thoughts are and picturing it on how it can fit for the answer and then if I can't figuring it out I ask the group a question to see if I'm on the right track. Working in groups benefits me because I may not see what the others can and than I can get feedback from the group.

  3. APRIL..ITS NOT GOOD TO PROCRASTINATE!! BUT, IF THATS HOW YOU LEARN, THEN THATS GOOD FOR YOU. I AGREE WITH YOU ON WORKING WITH GROUPS. I THINK IT IS VERY BENEFICIAL TO LISTEN TO VARIOUS POINTS OF VIEWS ON A SUBJECT.
